Thank you for your generosity! Christmas donations received in 2008 assisted with the purchase of essential Laboratory equipment. This year, the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation's campaign goal is to raise $80,000 towards the purchase of 2 new Electrocardiograms (ECGs) for the Southampton Emergency Department.
Did you know? Heart problems are consistently one of the top 10 reasons why patients over the age of 65 arrive at our emergency department. To accommodate the demand for a better diagnostic tool, we are currently upgrading our Electrocardiogram (ECG) machines to be compatible with our electronic charting systems. This crucial technology will allow the emergency physician to view heart tracings electronically and provide for faster diagnosis and treatment.
As always, all donations given to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation's LIGHT THE WAY Christmas Campaign stay in Saugeen Shores for priority equipment purchases at Southampton Hospital.
