Much more than a bike ride!
Gran Fondo Lake Huron is more than a bike ride, it’s a movement powered by community, purpose, and heart. Since it began, this unforgettable event has raised over $1.9 million for local and regional healthcare, helping bring critical equipment like a CT scanner to Saugeen Memorial Hospital and a state-of-the-art mammography suite to our regional hospital.
Every August, riders of all ages and skill levels gather in beautiful Bruce County to cycle scenic routes, connect with others, and ride for something bigger than themselves. With six route options—10km, 30km, 50km, 75km, 110km and 80km Gravel Route – there’s something for everyone. It’s a ride, not a race, designed to be accessible and welcoming whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or here for fun.
The day ends with a celebration in true Saugeen Shores style – a BBQ chicken meal (veggies options too), live music, and time to connect with friends old and new. The energy, camaraderie, and impact of Gran Fondo Lake Huron stay with you long after the finish line.
Our first Gran Fondo Ambassadors!
This year, we’re proud to introduce Sue and Jim Caley, our first Gran Fondo Ambassadors. Their story is one of strength, love, and the power of community. We invite you to watch the video and discover why they ride and ask yourself: what’s your reason to give?
Community strong. Your support ensures quality healthcare is always within reach.
