Gran Fondo Lake Huron – Ride for a Reason!
Since 2018, Gran Fondo Lake Huron has welcomed thousands of riders, volunteers, and donors, all coming together with one shared goal: to advance quality healthcare close to home. This isn’t a race, it’s a ride for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a first-time rider, there’s a route for you.
Choose from multiple distances and enjoy scenic routes along the stunning shores of Lake Huron. After the ride, celebrate your impact with a picnic-style BBQ lunch, live music, and awards recognizing top fundraisers and teams.
To date, riders and supporters have raised over $1.9 million to support the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, helping fund a CT scanner, an upgraded mammography suite, the new Mental Health and Wellness Centre, and so much more for Brightshores Southampton Hospital and specialized regional care.

Kids Ride on Sunday
And we’re not done yet.
This year, we’re inviting the whole family to take part. Returning for its third year, the Gran Fondo Lake Huron Kids Ride will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm in Port Elgin. It’s a fun and safe opportunity for kids to ride, play, and support healthcare in their own way! A great way to inspire the next generation of community champions.
